Wow that sucks for you. I have Halo 3 and Im not 17 or older yet. I would hate to get that slashed away from me. I think they won't let you get it because of the sex scene and nudity. I personally think this is a must have games. Its one of the Big three for ther Xbox 360. I played KOTOR and that was the best RPG ever, and one of the best games period (and I'm not even into RPG games). I think your parwents are a ok with you watching R movies because you just watch it. BUT you can use this to your avantegede. Everyone knows Rockstar games. They are the maker of the most controlvesial games ever (GTA, Bully, Manhunt). You could say that Mass Effect is not as bad as these games, and that I will not try to hack this games (just for kicks). If you have seen Halo, it doesn't look a rated T or M game, but in the middle. a rated older teen game. Also you can say that the sex scenes aren't detailed (I overheard perverts say that it was dissapointed). overall, this isn't a bad games. If you can, you can turn off extreme content to lower the badness. Or make sure that you will promise not to do bad srtuff and intoduce the othe bad stuff you can do (shoot people, drug dealing, etc.) Also all the really basd stuff in Mass Effect is just watch, not do like GTA:SA. That way you can convince them. Or there is always compromise? Good luck and I hope you enjoy the wonders of Mass Effect.

Well it is rated "M" for adult situations, and movies are rated "R" for adult situations.. R movies you just watch those adult situations, most M games, there is a cut scene clip where you just watch those adult situations. But this game you don't just watch it happen, YOU are pushed into those adult situations, YOU make the decisions, YOU have to deal with them. So this game is kinda worse than an R rated movie.

You could use this to your advantage, tell them that, yes, this game may be rated M, but it really depends on how you play and how you chose to do things. you know, here is the situation, here are my choices, and now I have to deal with the consequences for my actions and choices, and this kind of mindset will help me in the longrun

or you can go the other route and say, I want to be treated like I'm not a kid, and being able to watch R rated movies isn't enough any more, and I have few options to make me feel like an adult, you could let me play M rated games and stay in the house or I could be out in the world, smoking, doing drugs, getting drunk, having sex, getting pregnant, getting STD's, getting raped, etc...etc...

It may sound harsh, but if you want to be an adult, you gotta deal with what it brings

In what experience? is the article falling, or is it propelled by utilising some thing alongside the floor, and so forth? there's a formula bearing on rigidity, mass and acceleration: Newton's 2nd regulation of action --> F=ma. Mass would not impression speed without postpone, regardless of the shown fact that it does impression acceleration (cet. par.) - the linked fee of replace of speed.

Have them look up what M (for mature meanss) from the USRB.com site. Mature means 17+ years are able to play, which is the same age limit for R-Rated movies.

Ask them if you can rent it and play it in front of them so they can see the game and then judge how bad it is instead of just saying oh it's M so it's horrible, that what I did with halo with my parents, and it worked.

You should make them checkout the game reviews. It's not so much to ask.
