I have never heard of that, but I would assume that she hung it open end up like you would a horseshoe. The thought with the horseshoe is: turn it open end up to catch the luck and hold it whereas upside down lets the luck fall out. That is a pretty neat idea but how long did she leave the wishbone up there? At Christmas you need the doorway to hang the mistletoe! Happy Thanksgiving

I've heard of hanging a horseshoe, but not a wishbone. And the horseshoe is to be hung facing up so that it holds all the good luck. At least that's what I was told.

I thinks so. You hang it up just like you would a horseshoe. When it dries, you break it with someone else and whomever has the larger piece gets a wish.

I have never heard of that! I've always pulled the wish bone apart and whoever got the larger piece their wish willl come true.
