I use S-video to for my setup, its works fine. (CRT, not sure if that matters) I can use it for video game playing or watching tv/movies. Text is nearly impossible to read on the tv, I haven't taken the time to fix that.

I'd love to answer the question, but I have no idea what hardware you have. What outputs does your video card have? What inputs does your tv have? WTF are we dealing with? You have to at least give us some hints if you want real help.

Simplest way is a card with a TV out. Or a TV with a Input with a PC compatible plug. We use(at work) an NEC 40-60 inch screen, and its a regular Plasma TV, and the PC has a DVI splitter to two analogue ports.Or you can use a DVI to DVI single cable. All depends on your hardware. Sometime you need a middle junction box, sometimes the PC will plug right into the TV. Mostly if you have a HD tv its totally there.

If you have a fairly high-end computer, you should have a DVI output in the back of it (white rectangle w/ slots) or a video output (blue rectangle that you are probably using for you monitor). Again, if you have a reasonably good LCD TV, you should have either this same DVI input, an HDMI input, or a CPU video input.

Based on what is on your TV, assuming a compatible CPU:

If there is a DVI, you need a DVI to DVI cable.

If there is a HDMI, you need a DVI to HDMI cable.

If there is a CPU video, you need a video cable (projector cable).

Your only other option is using a vga cable. The blue cable that hooks up to your computer. If you only have dvi input you will have to get a converter dvi to vga.
