Hi Friends I need your valuable time to give me suggestion about my career.?

I am in a fix about my Career, your few mints can change my Life.

I am 35 years old, working in an Export House for last 14 years, I joined here as Computer Accountant, but after 9 years accounts were shifted to Head Office so I was assigned to see the Garments Productions as a merchandiser in Delhi, but the company is going on very low production, I have hardly handel 3 or 4 productions in a year.

I am not an Accountant (As I dont like this field though i worked 9 years in this field)

I am not a Merchandiser (As I have not much experience)

I want to switch my career to IT Field, I want to be System Administrator or System Analyst and want to earn handsome salary package.

But after completion of my course I would be considered as a Fresher in IT Industry, so i will get 8 to 10K Salary.Which is very low for a person of my Age.

Is there any field in IT Industry where a Fresher can get 15-20K per month at starting level.

Is it ok to switch career at the age of 35?

Is there any field in IT industry where a Fresher can get $15-20K per month starting? Maybe, it depends on how valuable your skills are perceived by a potential employer, who you know, and how you present yourself. Your future employers want to be able to easily answer three questions:

    1. Can this person do the job I am hiring them for?

    2. Will they do it and make enough money for the company so I can pay them $15-20K per month and make a profit for the company too?

    3. Do I like this person?

If the answer is yes to these 3 questions, then yes a fresher can make that kind of money.

Yes, it is OK to switch careers at any age, provided you have a plan on how to successfully do it.

I don't know anything about the salary of the field you want to get into, but I just want to say that it is never too late to switch careers!!! You can do what ever you set your mind to - now and for always. Don't ever believe otherwise - its when you stop believing in yourself that makes it impossible. Good luck and Happy Thanksgiving!

There is always something. Your idea is fine. not just fine but good. good for you. pay attention to what you want as opposed to what you "shoudl" do.

the economy of ouir times (the last two decades has changed drmatically. No longer are folks expected to undertand the intricacies of goverment.

I am 34 tommorow and this is not where i thought id be.

Make the swicth but make sure you kno w the ins and outs of the IT world as best as you can. even lbars will have gookds like these

Your career is upto you ,but one thing I want to advise you is always Invest some portion of your income in a good mutual fund by SIP,so in case you want to retire early or your career is not going as well as planned, you will always have a hefty portion to fall back on,

Think very very deeply about what you want to do.......if you are comfortable about what you want to do....go ahead.......dont blame on others...but rely on your own judgement.....
