Where does "Goosebump" come from? Why not "chickenbumb" or "birdbumb"?

    Goosebump, because the effect looks like goose-skin plucked clean of feathers.

    It was called Goosebumps because,the author R.L. Stine had a bump or (you can call it a goosebump)on his forehead!
