Phantom vibrations?
If you wear your cell phone in the same place all the time and you frequently have it on 'vibrate' mode, do you sometimes feel a vibration when the cell phone is NOT in there?
Weird. I do. Just curious of anyone else has experienced this.

Absolutely. On my hip, and for the past year, I've found myself involuntarily reaching there to respond to the vibrations -- when I'm not wearing it. Odd, but as another respondent wrote, it's become a documented phenomenon.

yes.
i often pick up my phone press the special green button say hello and then realize it hasnt rung at all.
when this happens, often btw, in public i usually pretend then that the person either hung up or a talk to the "person" for a minute before explaining i have to go.
what can then be an equal travisty is if i am pretending to talk and all the sudden my phone does ring and its on the loudest ring possible.
first off people stare and second i have just been deafened by the loud voice of the killers screaming somebody told me into my ear.
its rather frustrating yet highly ammusing after the fact.

Yea I have. And sometimes I think my phone's vibrating and it's actually switched off. Maybe it's like a deja vu sort of thing. Or even like shell shock, where the victim makes the same actions they would've done in war.

Yes... I leave my phone on vibrate all day at work... so yeah, sometimes I think I feel it and have to look around for my phone.
Makes me feel a little insane at times

Yes, I even saw a news article about this. Your right, it is weird and I really hate answering my wallet when I don't have my phone on

Yup. It's a well documented phenomenon that extends beyond just cellphones.
Some people who have a severed limb may also have a 'phantom' limb as well.
