What would be your budget? Also are you looking for an apt. house. room share? It would also depend on what school or work area you are in as commuting can get expensive also. Also how big is the dog? Some apt will accept small dogs. So much of DC itself is going through urbanization that you can still find a decent place in dc and pay a good amount for rent and still be safe. I live by Capitol Hill and H street which is going through a urban renewal so the rent is still reasonable and still in dc. Good luck

The Eastern Market area of Capital Hill is great and reasonably priced.

    Check out www.craigslist.com and www.washingtoncitypaper.com

    Good Luck!!

DC IS EXPENSIVE YOU NEED TO BE MAKING SOME PAPER TO GET INTO THE BETTER PARTS OF THE CITY
