How do I get a DVD out of the player.. it will not function!?

Ok, I will admit that this was an illegal DVD/copy bought in ShangHai. I put it into a US DVD player and now the player is stuck. It will turn on and spin the DVD, but will not play it and will NOT spit it out! I took off the cover/top of the player but the DVD was still under something that seemed immobile. I have unplugged it and all of that... any ideas?

    Keep trying to open it. It will work. There is probably a problem with your DVD player not with the cd.

    try to use a knife to pry it open. or just get a new dvd player and forget about that dvd.

    lol..try banging on the dvd to get it out..
