What do pros and cons of capital punishment have in Common?

They are both aiming toward people should be punished for their actions. Both sides just disagree on how far the punishment should go.

Both sides agree that people who committed crimes should definitely get punished. The saying eye for an eye goes great here because if someone commits murder people that agree with capital punishment say that they should have their life taken. People who don't agree with capital punishment use the argument that people should have to live with their crime. Another point toward people that agree with capital punishment is that it is a lot cheaper to use lethal injection than to keep someone in jail all of their life. Both ways they are still arguing on how people should be punished.

Seems to me every question tonight is hard to understand. To answer your question, the only common thing about pros and cons is having the same subject to discuss. Pros believe in capital punishment, cons do not. I don't know what a relativist perspective means, in this case, relating to capital punishment.

I think they both also aim at how "Humane" the sentence should be. From the perspective of the Criminal and the Victim's Family.

But arguments go both ways. Some say it's better to die than spend the remaining 50 years or so of your life in prison, some disagree.

Some families would feel better knowing that the criminal would have no chance whatsoever of hurting other people, coz he/she got the lethal injection, others think that they deserve to live in misery for the rest of their lives for the hurting and pain they caused them.

I personally believe in capital punishment. I also think it needs not to be only for murderers, but for pedophiles too, and maybe rapists (didn't make up my mind about this one yet)

If they were common, they would not be a pro or con.
