What do you do with pictures of your friends babies?
My friends have beautiful children and I enjoy seeing pictures of them. The problem is I do not know what to do with all of their pictures. I do not want to display pictures of kids in my house when I don't have my own children yet. When the pictures first come in the mail I put them on the fridge, mantel, or our bullentin board, until my husband takes them and puts them in my mail pile. Sometimes they are displayed for a month, and the mothers of these children do get to see I recieved their kids picture. Question is once I take them down can I just throw them out without feeling guilty? I have shoe boxes full of my friends kids pictures and I never care to look back at them, but I know how much it cost for pictures to be taken, and feel bad throwing them out. Any suggestions besides letting them collect dust in a shoebox under my bed?

I only get pics at Christmas time - ya know those Christmas card photos with the family? I put all of my favorite cards and these photos in a box and store them with the other Christmas stuff. The next year I get the cards out to put up as an early display and look through the photos as I'm going through. I don't put those up, but I decide whether to keep them another year or toss them.
Something else I've done is to put them in my address book. When I go to send that person a card or letter, I see the pic and repeat as above.
Try cutting down on the numbers you take in too. When offered, say "No thanks, I'd rather see your adorable little girl/boy in person!"

take all the photos of each child or family of children and make a photo collage for the parents. It shows the growth of their baby, gives you a thoughtful gift to give, and gets rid of all the photos without the guilt of throwing them away. Plus its almost christmas so its the perfect time to send them. Just glue them onto a piece of cardboard the size of the frame you want to use(use a scrapbooking gluestick). Overlap the photos in all directions makeing sure not to cover faces, cut off any parts of the photos that hang over the edge of the cardboard and place it in the frame. A box and a little tissue paper and your set. Its almost free!

Why don't you get a photo album for each of the kids? If you have a large collection of pictures of each child, or of each parents children then you could fill an album with them. It would be an ideal birthday or Christmas present to the parents. That way they get a lovely album they don't have to arrange, and you get rid of your photos of them. I think they'd like it and albums only cost a few quid (or dollars).

make an album of it or better yet, scan them and save them on an external drive (or internal drive if you have the space) and then you can toss the other ones. You can always start up an album but the scanning of a photo into a computer file just seems to be space saving. Plus, you can always pull them up and even make a slideshow if you ever want to come across it again.

put them in a photo album, at christmas time when i get
all those pictures, i put them in a christmas album only
and the pictures are in there by year, so i just have to flip
through and see how they grew since the last christmas.

Want to save your friends feelings, have them scanned onto a disk, and then use them as a screen saver on your computer (when you know she is on her way over). Pictures of children in your family, on the fridge, ok, but friends, I don't know, weird to me. Chow
