NO. Do you tip the lady at Macy's when you pick up your clothes in exchange for money? Do you tip the grocery store clerk? Tip is for delivery, whether to your home or to the table at a restaurant.

This is an interesting question since so many places have 'tip' jars out these days - including our local pizza shop. I sometimes drop my change in the tip jar at a coffee shop, but I generally have a special request like "no fat and no foam" if I were getting plain coffee, I probably wouldn't - but I don't tip when picking up a pizza. Not sure what the difference is now that you mention it, but it never occurred to me to tip when picking up a pizza.

I don't tip at all. Then again, I live in England, and around here you only tip someone if you think they've done exceptional work.

No, you only tip if it's delivered or you eat it there. You only tip for eating it there if it was served to you at your table.
