closed-captioning on digital channels?

My sister and I have same cable service, too.

I saw all networks are closed-captioned at my sister's house has update digital cable box is DCT700 with new SDTV: Insignia 20" has closed-captioning on channels 241-247 while my Emerson old TV from year 1994 or old digital Motorola DCT2244 from year 2001 are not captioned, what I do? I need a new cable box or SDTV (a new television set)

    Call Direct TV or call your cable company. They should have a solution for you.
