Best 5-7 day backpack trip in Denali National Park, Alaska?

Some friends and I are considering doing a week-long backpacking trip in Denali National Park next summer. We would like recommendations - from those that have backpacked there - as to what some of the better routes are.

We are looking for something around 5-7 days and 20-30 miles. A loop or other route with minimal back-tracking is preferred. Natural scenery, solitude and good campsites a plus. We are all experienced backpackers and don't mind working up a sweat, but are not looking for a death march (we are going to be on vacation, after all).

Thanks!

I have hiked Denali for many years, and living in Alaska, and being close enough to Denali to enjoy the park for many many years, allows me to pack into the park almost at will.

I have been a very adventuresome type hiker in the past, but injuries limit my abilities anymore.

I found this web site awhile ago and is chocked full of great advice on trails, and routes into Denali, and overall advice on hiking the Park, and from a relative expert.

Let me throw this in the mix as well... Wrangell-St. Elias National Park; the largest National Park in the United States. This is an amazing area. Chitna and McCarthy offer so much it truly will challenge Denali for grandeur.

    Enjoy the Park!

Virginia. Hike area of the Appalachian path. the autumn foliage generally peaks in shade the 0.33 week of October. i could commence in Shenandoah national Park and hike south to Roanoke. which would be approximately 150 path miles.
