I still remember it so vividly. It was 1956 and I was 5. Everybody on the street came to visit the color TV!!!!!!!!! We were like celebrities but there were few things broadcast in color. The first color show I remember seeing? "The Wizard of Oz" The Wicked Witch's green face was the scariest thing EVER!

It was probably in the 1960's. And I think the " I Love Lucy "show was the first one that CBS broadcast in color. I think. And Wally, may I tell my grandchildren that I am not the only one in the world to be without a cell phone? I sometimes would like to have one but my budget prohibits me from doing that. My land line has gone up from about $20.00 to month to over $50.00 in the past few years. Maybe I would switch if I could see any savings.

It must have been somewhere between the ages of 8 and 10. Before that time all I remember is the black and white TV.

My parents first got a color TV back in the early sixties. We

thought it was wonderful. Not all shows were in color then.

I remember that Bonanza was. We had two TV's, one black

and white and that one in color.

We got our first colour tv when I was 20, however I had seen colour tv when I was a little kid, about 8. My father said black and white was just fine , we didn't need a colour tv. We only got one because our old black and white broke.
