Why would Michigan want Les Miles?
It looks like LSU is going to put 4-5 more players into the first round of the NFL draft, just like last year. It also looks like LSU will squander an excellent chance to win a National Championship, just like the previous (2) years. The "experts" call LSU the most talented team in the country and yet once again Les Miles is unable to mold and direct that talent into a National Championship. LSU's previously acquired talent made Les Miles a successful coach, not the other way around. He was handed 3 teams loaded with unbelievable talent and failed to accomplish the ultimate goal. My question is, what does Michigan see in this buffoon and why would they want them to rebuild their troubled program?
Nice try Ralph- Michigan lost the first game of the year to a D1-AA team. All their stars played and they still got beat. Michigan has gotten killed in their last two bowl games and can't beat OSU. OSU sucks by the way. Now I am not a Michigan fan but that program looks a little bit troubled to me.

Shhh! Let them take him. He's doing well enough that he won't get fired. The only way to get rid of him is for Michigan to take him off of our hands.
Don't get me wrong. He's a decent coach. But decent coaches don't win National Championships.
The best thing for LSU is for Miles and Pellini to take new jobs, and we get someone in here who knows how to coach and before could only dream of having talent that is plentiful here in Louisiana.

As a Buckeye and Big 10 fan i don't see whats so special about Miles. i've seen alot of LSU games this year, and like you said they are supposed to be the most talented team in the country, but i don't see it. Unless Miles is so into himself he thinks his players will save him. I, as a Big 10 fan dont want him in UM. That's not saying i think he'll be able to beat my Buckeyes, but if they start winning with him in 2 years it will be because he is from the SEC. And about Zook being a bad coach, Florida fans and alumni didn't give that guy a chancce. You say Miles won w/ Saban's teams, Meyer won with Zook's team minus Tebow, Harvin, and possibly another couple players. O-H

he played there, he worked for Bo, he understands that the history of the program is much greater and richer than LSU, and also, one bad year at an SEC team and you are more likely to get fired. Big 10 coaches retire, go out with dignity, and do not get tossed around like busch league
I misunderstood your question. they want him because he is a high profile head coach, has coaching skills like Bo, and is more likely to beat the buckeyes than Lloyd

Those players are from Nick Saban recruiting. Les Miles is nothing. I don't think Michigan wants Les Miles. He is not qualify for big program like Michigan. LSU will win NC if Nick Saban's still at LSU this year.

I will forgive Miles for everything if he wins the SEC championship this weekend.. Bo can go to Nebraska, les can go to Michigan and we will find a new head coach.... Les is a good offensive coach but he lacks in the defensive department... Offense wins games and Defense wins championships....
Check our defensive stats on the last half of the season..

That is what I am trying to figure out!
That seems to be where the bottom SEC coaches go so they can be successful. Ron Zook for example.
Looking forward to a good game on Saturday hopefully. Go Vols!

Can you imagine him bringing SEC-style football to recruit-magnet Michigan? They would never lose a conference game and would be in the Nat'l Championship chase every year.
That's why.

he won't be coaching michigan football i can't tell you how i know this but take my word for it he won't be coaching michigan brian kelly the cincinati coach will be coaching michigan.he has stronger recruiting ties to the midwest the players from the south usually stay in the SEC i can tell you michigan has maybe 3 players on its roster from the south so they don't recruit very well down there.michigan has strong recruiting ties to the midwest, texas california.
