Australian question. Who thinks Tony Abbott will be a great choice as leader of the Liberal party?
At least that should ensure we don't hear from them for even longer. Ha! Ha! Sorry. I can't help it.

mwahahahaha! you cheeky devil, you had me screaming in terror for a moment there....!
The surviving Liberal party members know too well that they don't have a hope in h*ll of ever being taken seriously again until they disassociate from all the far-right pseudo-christians who've infiltrated their ranks in the last decade or so. So I can't see him being installed.

Most main stream Libs won't want a Neoconservative so he has no chance. Brendan Nelson used to belong to the Labor Party and as such must have been a Union member, can you imagine Labor having a field day in question time with that so he has no chance. So it's the Big M no other choice really.

There was a time when I would have said, Anything would have been better than Captain Smirky. It just seems Pete wanted it handed to him and was not prepared to work for the position. Nuff said. Abbott would be worse than Pete. Those little shiffty eyes darting about and upsetting sick people is not what the Lib's want if they have a hope in hell at the next election. I put my money on Mal the Pal. He will buy his way into the top job.

I was all ready to answer this question with something like, yeah he'd be wonderful because he would guarantee Labor's re-election, but it's already been said!

No he won't get the leadership, mainly because he is more like Howard and would push the laws like Howard.
