Is there an Application which can enable 'per application' volume control in Windows XP?

In Vista yout can control the volume of applications independantly. Is there any freeware out there that will do the same in XP, obvioulsy I have Googled and found IndieVolume and the like. Anyone know of anything better?

Not really. However if the applications use DirectX-Audio, they can set individual volume output without affecting other applications or the computer's master volume control.

On my computer, VLC Player and Winamp use DirectX-Audio, hence I am able to set volume controls individually. Turning the volume up in VLC doesn't affect the output of Winamp.
