Why was my post deleted, & Who complained?
I wrote a note the other day extolling the virtues of Maria's Home Made Country Fare, in Greenbrier, Arkansas. I did not advertize this store... I merely said that the food was wonderful.
Someone took exception to my post and yahoo deleted the post. I took a look at the guidlines and found none of the rules had been violated. I guess the coward that complained is too cowardly to come forward to admit that they were the one responsible. Some hours later, I took a look at the the replies, and would you believe...there were a few responses from folk who were as surprised as I was about Maria's cooking. nuff said..

If your post wasn't a question and someone complained, then that is why it was deleted. The Yahoo police the categories pretty stringently.
Lots of times, even if you actually phrase your post as a question (For example, "Will the person with the dog contact me?") it will be deleted. Even though it technically is a question, it doesn't follow the spirit of the rules.
Sorry about you post being deleted though :-) I've had my share pulled also, so I know how you feel.
Have a great day!

Questions are deleted in the event that they get carry of no solutions in the time of the open era. Questions are deleted if a great answer is chosen, and stated as no longer following the community policies. while the terrific answer drops, so does the question. yet because you're complaining that somebody is ruining the exciting, i might wager that there is a few type of recreation going happening. If content fabric isn't a question nor an answer, it is a contravention of the community policies. If the unique poster feels there replaced into no violation, purely he can charm. If the charm is lost yet another 10 factors is taken. because if isn't YOUR content fabric being bumped off, you won't be in a position to whinge to every person.

Hi
It is all a bit petty if you think about it. These days it is like we have to walk on egg shells less we upset somebody who may take offence easily.
Some people are overly sensitive but in recent years it seems more and more people are so ready to over-react. There have been many catastrophe's in the world since the millenium which may explain why people's emotions are heightened. The more people live in fear the more people's emotions are heightened if that makes sense.
It is good to learn to have respect and more tolerance towards one another but (!) not to the extent that we fear opening our mouths to speak, voice an opinion or express our feelings, for fear of somebody who so easily takes offence; but unfortunately that is the way things are. So much for free will and free speech hey?
Do not take it so personally. Such petty/tedious behaviour seems to be the norm these days, in much the same way as aggressive behaviour. Just be true to yourself my friend. Always be true to yourself. <smile>

I didn't see your post but I am guessing it was reported as either advertising or chat which are against the Community Guidelines. Many people here make a "statement" and add a question mark at the end. That does not make it a question.

I had a similar problem the other day. I was in the baby names section and a lady was asking if we liked a out there name Winter Moon or something like that and I responded that I thought it was a horrible name and that I felt sorry for any child named that. Some one reported it. I didn't violate any guideline but respose was still deleted.

Depends, was there a question involved? or where you posting just a chat post? That could have been the reason why.
