New Year's Eve Party among Expats?
Does anyone know of or can recommend somewhere to go for New Years' eve celebration in Makati City? Apart from Embassy or the Fort Area? As long as it's far away from the firecrackers they throw on the streets it should be okay :-)

Makati CBD traditionally holds street parties. The hotels bring out tables and chairs and canopies, where guests could book dinner and drinks. Fireworks at 12 midnight. Fun! Fun! Fun!
Check with the hotels. Maybe Shang or the Peninsula.

Filipinos love to celebrate the new year with a bang so I don't think there will be an area where there's no firecrackers. You can just stay in your hotel room maybe to avoid those firacrackers thrown on the streets.

There is nowhere you can go to escape all the fireworks here on New Years Eve ! Additionally, you also have Chinese New Year comming in Febuary.
