Any Jetstar office in Manila?
Hi! Does anyone know of a travel agent that sells jet star tickets going to Singapore? Or if there is a jetstar airways office in Manila? The website does not give any information. Need this info because buying online is not an option. Thanks!
12 AnswersPhilippines1 decade agoHow long does it take to get a philippine passport in Manila?
It's for a first passport, not renewal. I would like to know how long does it take from the moment you request your birth cert from NSO until the time you are actually holding the passport in your hand. Thanks in advance.

Does anyone know of or can recommend somewhere to go for New Years' eve celebration in Makati City? Apart from Embassy or the Fort Area? As long as it's far away from the firecrackers they throw on the streets it should be okay :-)
3 AnswersPhilippines1 decade agoHow do I start cleaning/brushing my son's teeth who just turned 1?
My son is still such a baby in so many ways, but teeth-wise he's got 8-10 already. Can someone please explain step by step how i go about teaching him to brush his teeth? Someone told me at this age wiping them with a clean cloth (what kind? old cotton shirt? can these be bought?) I want to start him early on dental care.

6 AnswersCooking & Recipes1 decade agoWhat are my options? Don't really want to bring a car seat from halfway across the globe...?
Planning to travel to San Francisco (from Europe) with my 18 month old son to vist a friend. She advised me to bring a car seat with me since she does not have any extra (she has a 4year old) available for me. I really do not want to lug around my car seat since we are staying only a week. Is rental available? Or should I just ask my friend to purchase a second hand one?

6 AnswersPhilippines1 decade agoWhat are the basic driving rules in the Philippines?
I do know how to drive and own a license. But like most Filipinos, I did not learn from a driving school. The theory test was a breeze, forget the practical test. Basically the examiner just wanted to know if I knew where the ignition key is.
My questions are:
Is there a speed limit within the city? I know expressway max is 110 kph.
Is there such a thing as priority is given to the right? (ie when a car is coming from a corner on your right hand side)
I'm asking because after just getting a european license, it's like a whole new world of rules and regulations for me. And it makes a lot of sense. Whereas when I was driving in Manila, I was driving cluelessly around.

3 AnswersPhilippines1 decade agoWhat is beef short ribs in French?
I have a recipe for this but I live in a French-speaking country. I can recognize it when I see it but it's nowhere to be found in the meat section in the groceries here. What should I tell the butcher?

16 AnswersCooking & Recipes1 decade agoAgree or Not: Is two-timing so common among Filipino guys?
Is it because of the ratio between women and men is way too big (3:1), or is it considered a macho thing? I've heard enough LoveNotes and read Dear Emily posts and this seems to be such a common phenomenon. I myself was cheated on once or twice.
Are our men raised up believing that cheating is acceptable?
I know, I know, I should not generalize and single out Pinoy guys. But prove me wrong then.....
