How long does it take to get a philippine passport in Manila?

If you are Planning to get a PASSPORT get this stuff so you don't have to waste time.

1. Cedula = get the same day

2 Barangay Clearance = same day

3.Bring your Birth Certificate to health Center to get look up for a record sealed and stamp. When you have that. = the same day

4. Go to NSO office so that your Birth Certificate is Authenticated at NSO office make it sure you have 2 Original Copy from NSO Authenticated Birth Certificate, Because if you go to Immigration office they take the Original Copy of your Authenticated Birth Certificate. = it take 2 days you have it.

5. Your Birth Certificate is done Authenticated from NSO you now get an *** NBI ****. = TWO WEEKS

6. You have all of the Above time for you to get a Passport = in Cebu 2 weeks. In Manila it depend if it's very Urgent you get your Passport in Second Business Day . If not Urgent One week. ( get your Passport ID 2x2 at your passport provider vendor).

If you get a Passport they take your ORIGINAL Authenticated Birth Certificate.

If you go to Immigration Office if someone petition you they take also your Original Birth Certificate.

So you have none Left.. Just asked the NSO if you can have 3 Original Authenticated Birth Certificate of yours as possible.

Medical Exam they need only a Copy of your Authenticated birth Certificate.

that is all you need to get if you want to get a Passport..

Under age need a Company by PARENTS.

to get a NSO u should go to the NSO office early so u wil get it ur birth certificate only for halfday if there is only few in lines..or mybe 2 hrs..

then wen u apply a passport make sure u have all the documents needed so u will not come back from the start..

then applying a passport will not take wholeday again just be early

then the new processing policy will take 25 days..and if u want in in a rush it will take 15 days

Get your birth certificate from NSO - 5 working days. You have to present a document like a drivers license where your full middle name is indicated.

Apply for machine readable passport - 2 working days since you have get regulation passport pictures ( royal blue background ), download and print the passport forms from the www.dfa.gov.ph website. Go early to the nearest DFA passport office to submit papers.

Passport processing :

Expedite - 7 working days

Regular - 14 working days

That is if your papers does not have any problems.

i am not familiar w/ the process in nso but you can give perhaps 1 day for this.

for the passport, it will take 1 day for the application provided you have complete and right documents i.e. pictures, birth certificates.

for express processing it will take 1 week to be released. if you live in the province, better get the courier services for the delivery in your area, it will save time and money.

a word of caution, never entertain fixers, the passport section is always open for business on working days. the fixers just complicate your application for passport and creates additional cost.
