Help installing iTunes with Win32 Error?
Windows Vista home ed- says Win 32 error that itunes.exe is not a valid Win32 application. There are a couple of questions on here already addressing this issue, but the answers are not useful (like "are you sure your computer is plugged in? type of crap). I have already done everything that even the Apple website says to do, but it's not working. I HATE Vista!

I have this problem on Vista when trying to launch upgraded iTunes from top-level Start Menu or from desktop shortcut. iTunes upgrade is doing something weird with those shortcuts that messes things up.
The only thing that worked for me was going though full menu - i.e.:
Start -> All Programs -> iTunes -> iTunes
Also, you can right-click on that menu item and choose 'Add to Quick Launch' or 'Pin To Start Menu' to replace bad shortcuts.
Yeah, Vista has been kind of ugly duckling so far :).

Try reinstalling the app....uninstall itunes then make sure all the files are gone by searching the pc for itunes and deleting what you find....then reinstall it....that ensures you get a fresh copy of the file and it should run.....last i heard there was no vista compatable version of itunes yet,...

iTunes' first requirement:
Windows Requirements
* 32-bit editions of Windows XP or Vista
Are you running a 64-bit version of Windows? That's what it sounds like...
