  • Any good BOOKS on moving/relocating to Europe?

US citizen interested in learning about relocating to Germany, Italia, UK, or France. I would like book recommendations about the legalities and basic logistics of such a move. Please, NO websites!

  • Step-by-step: How to DIY make a CORK bulletin board with a wood molding frame? NO "CORK TILES" ideas please!

Please do not suggest any other types of boards at all- only answer the actual question please, or don't answer. (I.E. I don't want a "ribbon board", so don't suggest it. I don't want a wine cork thing, so don't suggest it. I don't want to "just use magnets instead", etc...) Assume that I have ALL hand tools, and no industrial ones. (If there's something in your answer that I don't have, I'll just go out and get it.) Please don't answer if you aren't literally giving step-by-step instructions. Like if I asked for a recipe for chocolate chip cookies, DON'T answer by saying "add some flour and eggs". BE SPECIFIC please! (This is like my fifth time posting this question, so sorry for sounding irritated. I just keep getting non-specific answers and other goofy design ideas, whereas I have already decided on what I want, so that part of the question has been resolved.)

  • I would like step-by-step instructions on making a VERY LARGE cork bulletin board.?

Please- no suggestions about where to buy one (I am making this about 6' square, it simply has to be custom). Please, no suggestions about knitting a felted square, or making a fabric-covered ribbon board (this is not for a 6 year old girl's bedroom). Please, no suggestions about a decorative wine cork thingy- this is not for kitchen decor. I specifically want to use cork, so please no suggestions about using fuzzboard or steel and magnets, or whatever. I would appreciate some serious answers here from crafty/woodworking people! We do have a decent amount of tools in our home, although nothing large and permanent like a table saw or jigsaw! Thank you!

  • iTunes: How can I click a letter and jump to those bands? Like I want to click "S" + go to all the "S" songs.

I know I first need to highlight to category at the top that I want to sort by, like Artist or Name or Genre. But sometimes it works (I actually CAN click "B" and it jumps to Bach if I'm sorting by Artist), but when I sort by Genre and hit "B", it jumps to "Baby Boy by Sean Paul". I don't get it! Sometimes if I hit "M", it jumps to the TV Shows screen! (And I don't even have any!) Is there a setting or something that can fix this?

  • Help installing iTunes with Win32 Error?

Windows Vista home ed- says Win 32 error that itunes.exe is not a valid Win32 application. There are a couple of questions on here already addressing this issue, but the answers are not useful (like "are you sure your computer is plugged in? type of crap). I have already done everything that even the Apple website says to do, but it's not working. I HATE Vista!

  • If my Vonage router died, can I use any other router to replace it?

...Or does it have to specifically be a "voip adaptor" style router? Because we do have an extra router laying around, but it doesn't have a phone jack, just ethernet outputs- we thought there would be such a thing as a little ethernet-to-phone adaptor for like $5 at RadioShack... Does such a thing exist? Or do we have to have to have a specific type of equipment? Thanks!

  • Best N64 Puzzle games? OR immersion type games like Zelda and Mario World?

Yes, yes, N64. It's so old now that it's cool again in my opinion! I really like puzzle games like Tetris and good old Dr. Mario, and Bubble Bobble from original Nintendo, if anyone remembers that! I also like Diddy Kong Racing, and MarioWorld, where you have that 360 degrees of movement, just like Zelda: Ocarina of Time, which I also like, but I prefer the bright cute world of Mario. Are there any other great puzzle games or 360 degree world games out there that anyone would like to recommend? (My least fave are sports and shooting games.) Thanks!!

  • Top GOTH club DANCING songs ever?

Looking for a great big list of the best ever goth songs that are totally DANCEABLE. Gotta have that strong beat- where you can just let go and get into it. Nothing too Joy Division sleepy, or Nightwish death metal. No Bela Lugosi- come on people, that's not danceable, even for Bauhaus. Think BIG FULL SOUND! Goth/industrial/wave only please. Any era: 1979-now! I like Sisters of Mercy "This Corrosion" (the extended 11 minute one); some Razed Black; good ol' Closer by NIN (it really does make you want to do that...admit it); Nitzer Ebb's goth side; even White Zombie's (not so goth, true) Blood Milk and Sky; VNV Nation has a good beat... Go nuts with this! Dancing dancing, loud full sound, echoing through the cavernous club and reverberating with your pulse...

  • What format are commercial DVDs in?

I have some movies that I've downloaded. They are in a variety of extentions like AVI, FOV, IFO, MP4, etc. I have conversion software (although if there are other programs you recommend, I'd love to hear about them) and need to know what format to transfer the files into so that I can burn them onto a dvd-r and play them on my TV. I tried Mpeg, but that didn't work- also it only took like one minute to burn, which I knew was too fast to be the right thing- and yep, my dvd player didn't recognize it!

  • Free or Low-Cost counseling therapy psych services in NYC?

Anyone know where to find low-cost or sliding-scale therapy services in NYC? I have scoured the internet, and the phone book, and 411.com and other such sites. I supposed places that are low-income type facilities don't spend much money on advertising. I think perhaps a school for social work or psychiatry would be good, but can't find out about actual programs or get any actual phone numbers! Thanks!

  • 1980s movie about girls who throw TVs off city building rooftops?

The one is the street girl, the other a girl with a more traditional upbringing that gets sucked in by the first girl. The more innocent one runs away. They become best friends and hatch some scheme to become famous for dropping tv sets of the rooftops of buildings in the big city the live in. The street girl basically is a squatter in a building, and she finds them both employment as exotic dancers, even though they are both like 14 or maybe 15, tops. I remember this from my childhood, and have never been able to recall the name of the actual movie. I think in the end they become famous for the tv dropping stunt, and the father winds up seeing his lost/runaway daughter on the news and thus finds her.

  • Photoshop CS2 Drop Shadow??

Please do not direct me to a tutorial, as I've already done 5 or 6 of them on this, and for some reason it's not working. I have a picture of my sister. I used the magic eraser to take away the busy background. I now have a picture of her in front of essentially a white wall. Maybe is it that because I "erased" the background there is now nothing for the drop shadow to show up on? I'm so confused- why won't this new drop shadow layer show up? Is it simply not showing? Is it hidden? Please give me a dumb, basic, step-by-step. It's VERY much appreciated!! :)

  • Any way to fix the screen of my home phone?

My landline phone has built in caller id and the screen display (which is of course that old school b+w type) has stopped working sort of- you know, I can't read the whole phone number because certain "cells" aren't working right anymore. Any way to fix this? Thanks!

  • I want to print business cards on an 8"x8" piece of paper...?

I want them to be little squares, like 2.6666 inches square. When I go to Page Setup and set the paper size to a custom 8x8, only the TOP ruler displays that the page is indeed 8 inches. The vertical ruler shows that the paper is only 6 inches tall! It's so weird. I want to essentially insert a table that is 3 columns across and 3 rows down, so I can make 9 biz cards on each page. Well, it won't let me do this- it keeps making the cells rectangles, instead of the 2.6x2.6 that I am inputting. Another thing is that I am finding that when I finally post the text that I've pre-written (you know, everything I want all nicely laid out on the business card) it WON'T center within the cell. I even highlight the text and hit the "center" button, and it still is all cut off on one side. I just feel like Word is being very UN user friendly! I'm usually good with the program. Ideas on how to make 9 little even squares to create cards from an 8x8 paper would be great! Other programs to use, etc??

  • PHOTOSHOP: How to cut out much of the background so I can resize my image?

I made up a business card in Photoshop CS2 in a basic blank picture format, NOT in the bus card format. When zoomed out, it appears as a small rectangle within a larger area of grey-and-white squares, which I assume are basically unused background area. I now need to officially resize my bus card to be 1.93 inches high by 3.43 wide- when I punch in those numbers, the WHOLE THING resizes to that... I'm left with a teeny squished blob (that's my card design) in the corner of a business-card-sized grey-and-white checkered rectangle. How do I essentially extract my design area to put it into a business card size with no background so my printing company can accept it? I also have Illustrator, if that helps.

  • PHOTOSHOP: How do I change the color of a blurred graphic?

I have a dogbone outline that I've put a radial blur on. I want to change it from light pink to a really "hot" pink, but keep the blurred/fade-out edges. How? (Funny thing- when I select a forground color in the screen that has the billion colors, it looks very different to me than the one that my "brush" actually paints onto the dogbone! It'll come out looking darker or flatter than the little display box makes it seem, by far!)

  • PHOTOSHOP: How do I display the panel that shows all of the layers and history/steps I've made? (I have CS2.)

I just am learning. I have the entire CS2 Suite. How do I display the little box that's usually on the side somewhere that has all of the past steps that I've made, etc? It's disappeared!

  • Can Lexapro and Ritalin be taken together?

Does anyone have experience with this? Are there any side effects? This is not some lethal combination, right? Any tips on the best dosage combinations or times to take each? I'd appreciate hearing about people's experiences with this.
