the manual syas around 30ish however the tyres say 40 max.
should the pressure be more dependent on the tyre choice than the numbers quoted in the manual.
Thanks in advance

Go by what the manual tells you. Tyres can be used on many types of vehicles that require a different tyre pressure.

The manual states 29 psi for front, and 28psi for rears with up to 3 people in the car, and about 37psi fully loaded. Always adjust tyre pressures to numbers stated in hand book and not pressure stated on tyre wall.

Go by the manual. The numbers stamped on the tyre are the MAX INFLATION PRESSURES used for seating the tyre when it is fitted. If you go by what is in the manual you can't go wrong

Im sure its down to what type of tyre your using, the pressure should be printed on the tyre itself.

It is recommended to check tyre pressure when tyres are cold.

No, what the car manufacturer says is what you go by. It must be 30PSI when cold, 'cos they will reach 40PSI when warm.
