Yes, He would. Jesus used wine -- and nothing else -- at the Last Supper and sacramentally transformed it into His blood.

Bread is for the Body of Christ, wine is for His Blood. We can't go substituting these items for anything else just because we prefer a different taste.

Communion is an intimate union with God -- not a Sunday picnic.
