Car Buying Help?

I am considering purchasing a 2004 Chrysler Pacifica. To be honest the one thing that really is on my cons list is the fact it is a Chrysler product. I have had two foreign cars ( Toyota, and Mazda) loved them both and never had any problems other then maitenance. I alos have owned a Dodge neon- worst purchase I ever made and is the reason I am so critical of the product since the two brands are related. Could fellow owners, mechanics, anyone who has an opinion help me out with some reasons to or not to purchase this vehicle. Thanks for any input towards helping me decide.

Update:

This is not through a dealer- I am stationed in Germany, it is through a one owner family and the car is in excellent condition. I am looking for more of an opinion, positive or negative, or problems related to the car.

I am a dealer and would consider the Pacifica a good purchase. Any used car you buy you are taking a chance of some kind of mechanical breakdown. The biggest failure I see anymore is electrical, so do yourself a favor and buyer either a certified chrysler pacific with the extended warranty or purchase a good extended warranty for that vehicle, it will most likely pay for itself! GOOD LUCK!

I would ask if the car has the Diamler transmission in it. Most chrysler built around that time did have the benefit of Diamler engineering. Thus the quality of the cars were better than their predecessors.

What you need to ask your self is; what is that this going to price you subsequently? You are watching at a $2400 fix for a good auto with simplest eighty,000 and relativly more moderen mannequin. after it's performed it is going to mostly be nice and pushed with out disorders for a even as until you're discovering extra to be unsuitable. even though you offered it as is, you could get at so much $2000 for the auto. so if you're taking the 2400 and 2000 you will have 4400 to spend on a brand new used auto. A $4400 auto isn't the finest on the planet. you're watching at purchasing a older mannequin, ninety eight or older, with bigger mileage. as that stands, you're watching at disorders even quicker once more along with your new used auto, and consequently going to need to spend more cash solving that, since you are going to certainly not purchase a used auto with no need to repair anything. So, i could say repair the auto to your 2400, and be performed with repayments. That is the quality factor, not more repayments. so, relying on what your per 30 days fee used to be, you would nonetheless be saving more cash through repairing it. ask your self how so much have you ever stored in view that the repayments have been completed, does it outweigh what the maintenance shall be? simply what i believe must be performed.
