2004 Chevy Silverado 1500 Z71 problems!!!Help!!1?
Our '04 chevy silverado is acting up. The speedometer is stuck at 120 MPH. The 4WD is not working also. The lights won't even light up on the control panel for the 4WD. What is wrong with the truck? I have read online that it has cost other people $500 to fix the speedometer. I want to know what is wrong. Has anybody else had this problem??
Sorry. I meant to add this...We have checked all the fuses and have disconnected the battery and it still doesn't work.

I've always told everyone that it doesn't matter if a motor vehicle is an import. A vehicle is a vehicle! You are better off with an import car or truck. I used to be a Chevy man myself for many years then finally I came to realize that it is not worth it. They all have the same problems all the time and gave me a bunch of headaches. I did a lot of the repairs myself. Now I drive imports and my headaches are gone.
Your truck needs to be brought in for a diagnostic. There isn't anyone on here that is going to give you a right answer. Your concern is way too complicated, a professional has to physically look at the problem. The gages on your dash panel sounds like the issue. You may have to get it replace. As for the 4WD it could be anything. Best of luck to you!

I would disconnect the battery for an hour or so, hook it back up and see if that helps.
