What does implied consent mean when referring to a DUI, and that it is being turned over to the grand jury?
I have an acquaintance that was arrested for DUI, implied consent and it is being turned over to the grand jury......
I've never heard of this before...

A grand jury looks at what evidence there is and decides if it should go to court. They are like a filter. You won't get in trouble for their decison.
They basically say "yep there is a good case here and we think this should go further, or nay there is not enough here and the charges should be dropped."
Implied consent means that if you want a drivers license that you agree to be tested for DUI.

If his case is going in front of the Grand Jury, he was charged with more than DUI. A death, or serious injury had to be involved. This link will explain Implied Consent.

In Missouri implied consent means that you agree to submit to BAC test if an officer has evidence that you are driving while intoxicated. If you refuse the test, your license immediately revoked for one year.

when you drive you have given implied consent to a breath or blood test if requested....if you dont its assumed you cant pass on and it is turned over the the grand jury
