IM on Answers good or bad?

I do allow IM at present but I far prefer e-mailing. IM only really works if you're one of these people that talks non stop all day long. Myself, I tend to think too much and so have most people I've chatted with and this creates pauses in the conversation and it just drags. It's better for people like me to get clear in our heads what we want to say and then e-mail it.

JANET: Whilst Answers! doesn't allow chatting in questions, it does give you the means to allow or disallow e-mail and IM from your profile. You need to click on "Edit My Info" which is a link on your profile. You can also create your own 360 page to display music you like and create a blog (diary) and you can exchange comments here also with any 360 Friends that you make.

I did have it on for a while for friends, but you do get pestered all the time!, so i took it off, you could always try it for youself.

i dont, but i think the girls get more pestered them men on hear, since there are a lot of desperate guys who keep Im girls. especially when they see a nice pic. lol

Not sure I understand. You can't instant message on Answers. It's only for posting questions and answers. Any form of chat is considered a violation. Is that what you mean? Sorry... question just isn't clear.
