I prefer real trees because we make a whole day of it. We decide on where to buy our tree and walk up and down picking out the "perfect" tree and we cut it down. We laugh hysterically watching dad wrap it and put it on the roof of our car/truck. Usually we go somewhere they have hot cocoa and cider so we enjoy that while we are there. I love the smell and the knowing our tree is a bit different from everyone else's. It is always fun to discover that our "perfect" tree seems to have a whole in it and isn't so perfect after all. It is just a fun time for us and our children.

This year we will have a real tree in front of 1 window and a 4 foot table topper fake tree on a table in front of another window.

Artificial because I don't get around to watering it enough and the needles get all over the place.

I have room to store it and don't have to buy one every year.

There is a place nearby that you can cut your own at and they are $45, way over my budget.

We went out and cut one once, a Colorado Blue Spruce. The needles were so sharp we had to wear our jackets to decorate it. Sort of turned us off to real trees.

We're having a real one this year after having years of a scruffy artificial! We're hoping it will be harder for the cat to knock down! Real trees tend to look bushier and also leave a Christmassy smell!

I always get a real tree because I love the smell of pine trees and how nice the whole house smells.

I like a real tree, but due to a cat who loves to eat the needles, I have a fakie.

    artificial.

don't have to water, or sweep bristles up.

the tree can be put up and taken down whenever .

helps the environment, and it's eventually more cost effective. =]

Real plastics a dud. You can get them at Orchard for good price.
