Biology Question?

How can the cells in the stomach make HcL and not be destroyed? What organelles might be responsible for inshuring that HcL doesnt burn the cell as it is shipped out? Explain you answer.

    The reason that the acid (HCl) does not eat away the inner linings of our stomach is that the stomach wall is secreting mucus, which forms a protective layer and kind of neutralizes the acid.

    It has nothing to do with enzymes.

    Enzymes are what keeps a cell functioning. Enzymes can endure extremes unlike cells in our bodies, they help acclerate the chemical reaction taking place without using too much energy. Hence we have thousands of enzymes in our stomach preventing HCL from damaging our stomach. If i can recall i think the enzymes pepsin and rennin is in our stomach.
