Duncan Hunter?

Duncan Hunter is a good man, but he comes across as a single issue candidate: illegal immigration.

He doesn't stand much of a chance of getting the nomination, and even if he did, he couldn't beat Hillary or Barack.

I agree!! Why am I not hearing anything about Duncan? He is my first choice and I for the life of me can not figure out why Mitt and Rudy are front runners over him. I will proudly vote for any of the republicans running next year against democrat if it comes to that but I really wish Hunter could get nom.

Duncan Hunter has as much as chance as the other candidates.. The only difference is that attitude that we have. We need to all stand behind that man and give him the vote he deserves. My vote counts and it will go towards the man whom I feel deserves it. Duncan Hunter is the Reagan that we are looking for. Whoever says he is a one issue candidate is not asking the right questions.

My husband and I are both impressed with Duncan Hunter. We like his ideas for Social Security, bringing back jobs to America, his view on foreign policy trade, view on borders, and many more.

We feel that Duncan Hunter has great ideas and plans on how to solve many issues that us American's are facing today.His ideas are easy to understand, where Ron Paul has ideas that are quite interesting but are dramaticly different in a sense .

I have learned so much from reading these posts and had to stop to consider the impact one will have as President of Our United States! I do not remember feeling that we have so much to lose or to gain by our votes.

I really agree with most of what you say.

But.....

I saying that, we must all be rather realistic about each candidates chances at garnering enough popular support to win!

This included enough popularity to counter the horendous image the Republican Party now has with the independants and undesided voters that could swing the Dems to victory next year.

Any sane person doesn't want that happening. A Shrillery Presidency would be an unmitigated disaster!

So, who are the most Conservative AND the most popular candidates.

Huck? not much more rated than Hunter nationally...5%?

Ghouliani? Not much less Liberal than the dems.

McCain? held ted Kennedy's hand for too longand wanted the shamnesty bill too...no way.

This leaves us Mitt.

Hes religious (Mormon, but believes in Christ and has strong moral core) and married only once (even though Mormon!)

Plus: he has more money than God. And since 1950, 97% of the national candidates with the most money have won their elections. (the other 3% was Keary)

Romney is maybe not as right as Hunter, but the best choice because he can win.

If Cons think Hunter will not get allot of support wait till they find out how little Rudy and Mit get.

Im really tired of hearing people say, "hes great but he has no support" Its really sad that this man is exactly what we need and people know it yet he doesnt get the attention.

Im not giving up hope and Mr Hunter isnt either.

By the way if you ever get a chance to meet him he is so much more genuine in person than you see, if you can even believe that...

Hunter's completely whacky, yet a minimum of he's antagonistic to unlawful alien amnesty. he's desirous about yet another conflict in Iran. McCain looks better sane, yet he's desirous about the Bush wars and for putting out yet another one in Iran. he's also professional unlawful alien. not one of the above

He's worth a lot of consideration. Just wait the front runners shall balance themselves out and real candidates will emerge. The double edge of this forced upon us early election. Just may bite them big boys (incl Clinton) in the asp. Thanks!
