Christians.Do "born again" christians annoy you?

I have had e-mail contact with some born again christians and they all tell me that accepting Jesus as your saviour is not enough to be a christian and that I never was (I'm an ex-christian but that's not relevent here).

Does this attitude annoy you?

Do you believe you are a christian even if you're not "born again"?

The fundamentalists have sent me much hate mail. One told me I was not a Christian at all because I am in favor of abortions for rape victims and feel it is child abuse to force 10-18 year old to carry a baby that was conceived in rape.

ALL Christians are born again in Christ.

I accepted Jesus as my Savior and have always thought that was enough to be a Christian.

I don't understand their reasoning in telling you that it is not.

Who are they to say who is a Christian and who is not? That's silly.

I take it you have no idea just what a *Christian* is , along with most of the earth's population .. If you are not *born again* or *born from above* as the Bible says, you can not and are not what one would call a Christian or more accurately a *Child of God* ...

Born from above means to be place by the Holy Spirit into the Body of Christ which is THE CHURCH, or to put another way , to be Baptized by the Spirit into the Body of Christ which is THE CHURCH...

So no, they do not annoy me, nor do I annoy myself ..

“Born again” is a mistranslation. The manuscripts say “born from above.” I’m born from above, so is everyone else who’s in the flesh. I'm also a Christian, and, yes, some "born again" Christians annoy me, too, just as some atheists annoy me.

Some folks are just annoying ... believer or nonbeliever.

But, none of us is perfect, so I try to get along with everyone ... if possible.

Christianity has chosen to hide many gospels because they don't say exactly what Early Christian Fathers wanted its followers to believe, including additional ways to achieve Salvation. God is not stupid, he has provided other religions to show many avenues to get to heaven. Christianity doesn't own heaven and no one religion ever will. Christians who don't know the History of their religion think that they know it all regarding Christianity but they actually know nothing .I am a Christian who wants nothing to do with the Christian " born agains". I pity their religious ignorance.

I have always wondered what it truly meant to be born again. This quote is from the bible...Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God.That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit." (Would this not be when we were conceived and born into this world). Ones Interpretation is amazing. As well, one is suppose to also rid of all their sins asking for forgiveness, therefore not to repeat them. However, I know many, many born again Christians who continue to sin after receiving the ritual of being born again. I am just saying...Everything is in God's Hand and is the knowing of all our intentions...Just live life the best way you know how. So to answer your question...Religious People bother me period when they dictate, qoute from books written by man kind and want to judge others by them words.

What I can't understand is why people took this one single phrase and ran with it. In my personal opinion, Jesus simply meant that we had to undergo a spiritual change -- part of that being from the austere legalities of the Old Testament to a loving, spiritual nature. I think that the term "born-again" is overused, and has lost its simplistic original meaning.

And yes, it annoys me ... especially when they tell me I'm not a Christian. But I try to just love them anyway, and look over them ...

If you have not accepted Jesus Christ down in your heart you are not a Christian. You must confess and repent of your sins, you must admit you are a sinner and you must believe Jesus arose from the grave the third day, Here is a sinners prayer, Dear Jesus, I know and confess that I am sinner in need of salvation. I believe you died on a cross at calvery and arose from the grave to wash away my sins, I ask you right now to come into my heart and save me, I pray this Prayer believing in the name of Jesus Amen. If you prayed this prayer with a sincere heart you are now a child of God, rejoice that your name is written in the Lambs book of Life. Jesus will now send his Holy Spirit to come and live in your heart and guide you into all truth. If you made a decision for Christ or have any questions, Please send me an email, God Bless YOU!!

You can't be a Christian if you are not "born again". Jesus said, "Unless a man is born again he cannot see the kingdom of God." No, personally I am not annoyed by born again Christians. They are my brothers and sisters in Christ. But I am anoyed by those who claim you need a "second blessing" orneed to speak in tongues, or rollon the floor and bark like a dog, etc. (In other words, Pentacostals)

Darwin, as a life long Christian, that clearly is not my call. You have rejected Christ and I don't know how He feels about that. No. It does not annoy me. God accepts all who repent and wish to be saved. He knows what is truly in our hearts and who is just spouting words. If you wish to label it as " born again", then do so. Makes no impact on me whatsoever.

Your life is your life. Don't let people try and control it, if you don't want them to. Tell them that you don't like their behavior, that you're not interested. The word 'Christian' basically means 'Christ-follower'. If you follow Christ, then technically speaking, you are a Christian. Whether you define yourself to be 'borned again' or not is up to you. Like I said, it's your life, live it your way. THE ABOVE IS STRICTLY OPINION!!
