It's a region near or on the Arctic Circle and/or North Pole.
Biomes on the Arctic Region could be Tundra.
As we define "tundra":
TUNDRA - the treeless vegetation type characteristic of the arctic region, having a marshy surface where mosses, lichens, berries and low shrubs grow with mucky soil and permafrost underneath.

A secondary biome to the tundra is what we call the
"Boreal Forest" or "Taiga".
