Multiple car WRECK... I NEED HELP?
my husband had an accident where a car jumped in front of him and caused him to loose control of the car and spin, no accident happened with this car, as he spun he was just about to regain control when an 18 wheeler could not stop in time and clipped him, the 18 wheeler flipped ran into the dart trans medium and damaged the rail.. while this was happening, i am guessing someone behind the trailer breaked and another 3 car crash happened. my husband was arrested at the scene because he had no drivers license.. but still the accident was not his fault, and he was not insured, now the gentle man who cut him off, right away started saying , you see what you did, this is all your fault.. police started filling out paperwork, and my husband told them it was not his fault, the police report sounds incorrect once we received, in any case, we have no assets, nothing in our name, all we do is rent, and now we got a bill for 92,000. from dart , can we file for bankrupcy, and if so, when? HELP

You have no money for insurance, but money to pay for internet to post things on YA?? Nice to see where your priorities are.
Anyways, what is "dart" ? that you got a $92K Bill from?
I need more info to answer your questions. If you think you need to file bankruptcy, then consult a lawyer, don't ask random people on the internet.

Here's what happened to me---far less serious but the driver at fault had no licence.
I was backing out of my drive way in front of my house on the corner of the street when a car came flying around the corner at better than average speed and although I did check behind me and to my left rear I backed right into the front of the car that appeared out of nowhere. No injuries but my tailgate was damaged as was the right fender of the car turning.
The driver of the car had only a learner's permit and was in the car UNACCOMPANIED.
In California a learner's permit stipulates that permitee must be accompanied at all times by a licenced driver over the age of 25 years.
I discussed this with my insurance agent, and unofficially the police . They both advised me to take the offer of the other driver's father to forget about it and each pay our own damages.Since I was backing up I am automatically considered the one at fault !!!!!
I could have called police, had him cited for driving without a licence but then they would sue me for damages to their car, and depending on the sympathies of the reporting officer given a ticket for backing up without looking ! The system is not just ! It is not clear cut either---driving without a licence usually makes that party the one at fault regardless of circumstances.

Your husband is irresponsible and his license should be revoked for the rest of his life. You say that a car jumped in front of him and caused him to loose control. Your husband is at fault. He is supposed to be in control of his vehicle at all times. He caused the rest of the accidents. It's just like rear ending someone. Even tho the person in front of you stopped short, you are the rear vehicle and are responsible. So, yes, they can send you the bill...don't be surprised if you get a couple of civil suits filed against you for not having insurance. You can file for bankruptcy, but don't be surprised if this all happens before you file. Bankruptcy takes 6 months to file completely. You can be sued way before that time.
Shame on you guys for doing this to other people who have licenses and proper insurance.

This is not what you want to hear, but it's a very simple answer. If you do not have a license to drive, you have no rights as a motorist because you aren't supposed to be on the road in the first place. If you have no insurance to drive, you have no coverage in cases like these. The laws that require people to have drivers licenses and insurance are put in place to protect people like me and other people who obey the law FROM people like your husband, not the other way around.
You're the farthest thing from a victim in this scenario.

This has to be a wind up. How can you claim none of this was you're husband's fault. You're husband was driving without a license or insurance, therefore he was driving illegally. If he was a law abiding citizen then he wouldn't have been driving & none of this would have happened. In my personal opinion, you're husband should go to jail for unlawfully endangering the lives of other road users. Insurance is not optional, it is designed to protect innocent parties. Innocent parties who now have to pay extra insurance premiums (and in some circumstances pay for their own repairs) because you're husband decided to drive without insurance.
You say you have no assets, nothing to your name yet you can afford to keep a car on the road.

I too firmly belive in chiropractors. I play a contact sport and ahve been in two car accidnets myself...I dont really think there is a preset time table with injuries such as yours....I would say that you are your best judge...if you fell you are well enough to have an adjustment done the go for it...but if ou feel aprehensive about it wait. . .

I don't think a bankruptcy will absolve your debt. You'll end up paying it no matter what.
