My Laser Printer has started leaving a blue vertical line on the first 2 pages printed, but then goes away.?

The line will remain gone until the printer has set for a while. then the first couple of pages have the Vertical blue line again. My printer is a Color Laser printer.

Update:

What can I do to get rid of this problem? Is it a Color Toner Cartridge or something else?

Update 2:

My Printer is a Minolta Magicolor 2200 DeskLaser I believe it is a belt type.

The Color Cartridges will only fit in their designated slots. You can NOT move them around.

The problem maybe one of two things, could either be the cyan (blue) toner cartridge or there could be that the fuser is going bad.

Without knowing the printer type and model or how old it is, try putting in a new cyan toner cartridge. If not look into changing out the fuser.

Ignore that answer, it is not the fuser. If it was, it would repeat itself.

There is a possibility that your cartridges are sitting long and the toner is setting onto the developer roller , thus leaving an excess which rolls off when it's finally used. (The toner goes into the "cleaner" of the cartridge) Unless it's a belt system, then it goes into a transfer kit/cleaner-

Check your reserves if you have this and vaccum out the extra toner accumulation. If it looks clean, then check the belt.

If its the drum style, then roll it around and see if the cleaner inside the cartridge picks it off. If it does, then check the contacts on your cartridge and inside the printer (with it off). Wipe them with qtips to clean off toner continmation.

Shake the cartridge to spread the toner evenly and then give it a try.

You could also swap cartridges to a different color to see if it switches. If it switches to yellow for example, you know it is NOT the blue cartridge but the printer itself (contacts or imaging unit or whatever).

    Good luck.
