They did whatever job was forced upon them.
Some of them were forced to be block guards, and help the Germans weed out those who could not work, who were then sent off to die.
Others, sorted the clothing of the prisoners who had already been murdered, as well as shaved the bodies, and packed the hair in bags to be sent back to Germany to be made into mattresses.
There were some who's job it was to calm the people who were arriving on the transports, and usher them down the lane to the gas chambers, and then to pull the bodies from the gas chambers to the crematoria.
You are probably reading this with disbelief, and asking how could these people do that to their own people, and the answer is that life, no matter how poor the quality, is sacred, and they wanted to live.

The thing that the Jewish people in the camps did most was to die, but were made to help remove bodies from gas chambers ,feed the bodies into the ovens, to sort the cloths and other belongings of the dead for distrubition to german people and as I said ,when there time came ,to die in some of the most inhumane ways that could be imagined.

They worked in the same professions they had before being sent to camps: Doctors, architects etc. Other professionals like lawyers were forced into slave work until death. A lot of Jews worked for industrialists as slave labour producing armaments.
