Do Radar Detectors need professional installation?
i want to buy the cobra 9630 or 970 but i want to buy it brand new off ebay and i dont know if you need to get it professionally installed or just mount it to your windsheild

The Cobra radar detecter does NOT need professional installation.
That's the short answer for you.
It mounts like most radar units do, to your windshield or dashboard (choice is yours), and gets power from your accessory plug/cigarrette lighter.
