When did William Rehnquist become Chief Justice of the Supreme Court?
Was it directly after the Warren Burger court or did someone serve in-between?
I feel like I ought to remember stuff like this, but I was a bit young. It has been a whle, I guess. Thanks.
It's not homework. Just idle curiousity. It started with me pondering a decision sometime in the early to mid-80s dealing with sobriety checkpoints. Then I got to thinking about the courts' liberal/conservative balance at the time.
And so on.
Some questions are obviously homework, but don't be too quick to judge.

Homework homework homework! It's just a drag! Much easier to get someone else to do it for me, huh? Ever hear of "google"?
