Not at all. I think women are much more independent now than they were decades ago. I think the whole notion of "Guys are supposed to ask the girl out" is sort of fading. Girls can ask, too. This is 2007, and social roles are changing. I would love it if a girl asked me out.

well i was really good friends with my bf before he asked me out. I was really surprised when he asked me because he isnt the type to ask every girl out but is that really a bad thing?? mayb that ment that he really likes me and he wont treat me bad. He always came across shy to me even tho we were good friends and have known each other but hes really opened up to me and he tells me alot of things that he doesnt tell his guy friends..so i would say tha the may seem shy but there is another side that is really sweet you jst have to be patient to b able to see that side..now i like my bf soo much and i am always talkin to him

guys like the confidence in women, and when we're shy we are having a hard time trying to farm the right words. girls should ask guys out because it gives men the confidence. and he wont be so nervous or shy if there are some freinds around.

I don't see anything wrong with that. I did that a couple of times with my boyfriend before he asked me out. It goes to show that you are a girl who has a mind of her own and is capable of being independent.

I see nothing wrong with the idea...particularly if others are included. Be careful in your choices though. When you really, really like someone...they may opt to take advantage of your feelings and the opportunity.

no, its not bad just not common. im sure some guys wouldbe gratful if u asked them out, but its just known asthe guy askin out the girl
