here is the match up. for the gods we got: odin, thor and beta ray bill, and for the cosmic team we got: galactus, silver surfer and stardust. tell me what you think

It would eventually come down to Odin and Galactus. Unfortunately Odin wouldn't have a chance. Obviously Galactus has been beaten before in a variety of ways (i.e. the Ultimate Nullifier) but in at toe to toe battle with both at full strength Galactus is as much stronger than Odin as Thor is over Aunt May.
You know what a great story would be? If Galactus decided he wanted to get a taste of Asgard. That would be classic and maybe the basis for your matchup.

Well, considering that Galactus has been known to eat planets I'd say he's stronger than the Gods. Though basically it really depends on the writer. Anything is possible if the writer wants an underdog to win.
