In 2008 is the British invasion over? No more new rock n" roll groups hitting the shores of the USA.?

The Beatles landed in 1964. In 1978, The Clash and U2 arrived during the second waves, better known as the new wave. What happened to the British groups of the 21st Century? Why haven't they landed or did I miss something?

I agree, there haven't been any impressive groups from the U.K. in a while, maybe that will change soon...btw, U2 arrived from Ireland.

    You're not looking hard enough:

    The Answer

    The Wildhearts

    The Gliteratti

    Tokyo Dragons

    Roadstar

.... and that's just off the top of my head. There's plenty of great UK rock out there, it just doesn't get airplay because it doesn't fit into the radio friendly cookie cutter sound.
