Water liking from under shower door rail/metal base, any ideas?
I have installed a new shower door to my stand up shower but under the door where the metal is,water keeps coming out and its damaging my new vinyl and corners of the wall as well.I have taken everthing apart many times and even installed a piece of isolation rubber inside the base frame and on the outside I have used tons of silicone based sealant.Yet water gets stored inside this metal frame somehow and drips all day onto the vinyl and floor making a huge podle.I have a towel there at all times but would apreciatte any ideas on how to make this problem fixed.
Ps-the shower base is fiberglass and the door came with the metal frame. Both were purchased at loews and nothing seams to be damaged.
Thanks in advance for any tips!

I suggest you take a photo of the area, go to the store where it was purchased, and describe the problem to someone in customer service. You may want to contact the manufacturer, as they will have an eight hundred number, and may have a solution. This could be a typical problem or defect.

Sometimes this water isn't coming from the base at all. Check the sides as well to make sure they are completely seal with silicone. cover the bottom of the door with a trash bag so that no water touches it. Tape it to the door and drape it over the bottom. Make sure the bag drains to the drain. If you are still getting water coming out the bottom, it is definitely coming from somewhere else. Also, check to make sure the door is square. Put a level on both sides of the door where it meets the actual shower. If the door is out, meaning further away at the top then at the bottom, water would be more likely to run out of the shower instead of in. If this is happening you will need to move the top part in and probably redrill some holes.

Usually the metal rail at the bottom has some drain holes, you may have accidentally sealed them with caulk. I would remove the whole metal shower frame, remove all the sealant/caulk and start again. Sometimes its the only way to get it to stop leaking. Adding more caulk to it is most likely making the water store longer and will cause mold problems very quickly.

Get a mattress and mattress spring conceal that zips up and encloses the mattress. similar is going for the pillows. save crammed animals out of the bedroom. Launder the sheets weekly. Launder the comforter or conceal many times, too. Vacuum weekly. Or better many times. Use a dehumidifier. Use especially rated air filters (examine the labels because some are basically for airborne dirt and mud, yet others sparkling out allergens.) the better the large style the better it filters. replace the air filters each 3 months, even if if it would not look dirty. you may not see the allergens, so that you gained't see the filter out get dirty. you may also note the heating or cooling bill bypass down once you adjust the filter out in many circumstances. I did. airborne dirt and mud with a sprig and fabric so as that the airborne dirt and mud would not fly contained in the air; it continues to be on the fabric. save the doorways and domicile windows closed. attempt to save the pets out of the room the position you sleep and honestly save them off the mattress and settee. provide your pets well-known baths (about weekly).
