What is the point of asking a question id you ban those who offer a differing opinion then your own from answering

Because those types of people are usually so insecure that they need validation and reassurance from others. If they get anything but agreement with what they've asked or stated, they become defensive and sometimes belligerent out of sheer frustration that they can't get what they need.
Don't waste your energy on these sorts of people. It's kind of like trying to win an argument with a drunk - impossible.

Some may have good motives -such as acquiring more knowledge then they now possess. Schools are indoctrination as opposed to hearing different points of view. Do not believe there is any agenda in answers as there is in the public school system.

Its called censorship. It is normally used when your argument is weaker then your opposition.

there is no point. basically, you are just saying : "here's my questiong, now give me the answer I want to hear!" It's completely pointless.
