where to find blue rain ponchos and paint to write on them?
My high school's football team is going to the State championship this Saturday and it's supposed to rain. My friends and I want to do something cute but sensible and so we were thinking we'd all buy blue rain ponchos and paint "K-N-I-G-H-T-S-!" on them. (We'd each be a different letter.) If anyone knows of any stores that carry ponchos or paint that would stick to the plastic and not get washed off, it would be really helpful. Links to websites would help too. Wal-mart, Michael's and Target do not carry them. Thanks so much!

Our Lowes was selling blue rain ponchos last weekend during the rainstorm (that is their store color). Sharpie markets will write on the plastic and come in different colors and won't run in the rain. If you want to use paint, you have to use the type that sticks to plastic like Kyrlon.

They may not have the ponchos you want, but Michaels does have the paint. Use fabric paint. Hurry, though, as it needs to dry for two days to become washable and/or waterproof.
Try a sporting goods store for your ponchos. If you haven't tried the camping stuff department at WalMart and Target, check back there, too.
On such short notice, you may need to use blue umbrellas instead of ponchos. Ponchos would be best, of course, but this weekend is approaching very quickly. Go to plan B while you still have time to make plan B work. The fabric paint will work on them, too.

There are lots of blue ponchos listed on ebay but don't know if you could get them in time. Maybe a sporting goods store might have some. Try also K-mart. If you can't find paint, try stick-on letters made from craft foam or felt or something else stick-on or glue-on.
