OK HERE'S WHAT YOU NEED TO DO DON'T GO INTO PROFESSIONAL CAUSE ITS JUST WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY.... DON'T YELL OR GET MAD AT HIM FOR DOING THAT CAUSE YOU'LL ONLY CAUSE A TRAUMA ON HIM THAT WILL AFFECT HIM LATER ON INSTEAD BUY HIM MORE BOY STUFF AND TRY TO PLAY WITH HIM AND YOUR DAUGHTER AT THE SAME TIME BUT SEPARATELY AND SO HE CAN SEE THAT DOLLS ARE NOT FOR BOYS.... BUT YEAH TAKE IT CALMLY ....

There is nothing wrong with a 4 1/2 year old playing with dolls weither the child is a boy or a girl. However you should really have a serious look at yourself and ask yourself why your having such a hard time with your sons natural loving play. Why is it you think he shouldnt be paying with dolls?

Honestly, everyone says "I wouldnt care if my child was gay" I have 2 gay brothers and a gay uncle. So my 4 year old is around it all the time. But I WOULD FLIP OUT!!!! I am sure every parent would. I have heard from plenty of people including my family that you can start to see signs at around age 4 and 5. But that doesnt mean he is gay....Its just dolls, if he starts putting on makeup and playing dress up then be worried!!!

why do you care if he likes to play with dolls? He probably enjoys the 'role play' it lets him have. Children love to pretend, and a doll is just an extension of his imagination. Are you afraid he will grow up too girly? Relax. I really doubt he knows the difference between what is girly or what is for boys. Why would he need a professional?

That's sexist... It's reinforcing the stereotype that boys can't and shouldn't like girly things.... which in turn puts a BAD light on the My Little Pony fandom... which consists of a LOT of teen and adult males.

If he wants to play with the dolls: let him.

I don't understand what the big deal is. If it makes him happy, let him play with the dolls. My daughter likes to play with cars, but I don't freak out and hide them from her. Playing with dolls will not turn him gay if that's what you're worried about. It will foster his development and help him to become a nurturing father. He's probably only interested in them because he sees his younger sister playing with them.

let him play with the dolls
what is the difference from playing with a Barbie doll then playing with army men
there is nothing wrong with him playing with them
second he's going to think there bad because you keep hiding them
I guess you never played with cars or anything boyish when you were 4 - ask your mom you might be surprised

try buying the little girl some spiderman dolls and see if he wants to take them from her also it could just be that he sees that she likes them so he wants to know what all the hoopla is about but its honestly nothing just let him play maybe he'll be that much more compassionate towards women when he gets older which isnt a bad thing lol

No he doesn't need professional help. The best thing to do is not make a big deal out of it because if you make him feel as though he is doing something wrong it may make him feel ashamed which may result in problems later. He may be exploring the perfectly natural interest in the opposite sex because kids do notice that there is a difference between them. It's also possible that he is continuing to play with them just because he knows you don't want him to or because they are his sisters. The best thing to do is nothing.
