Who in here believes that the Book of Revelations is already happening?

If you've read the Book of Revelations, would you categorically say that the signs leading to the return of the Son of God is actually happening NOW and what events do you think were foretold in the Book? How does that make you feel?

I see that all the Nations are beginning to line up and make alliances, just as the BIBLE SAID THAT THEY WOULD. I also see that with today's technology, that what the Bible said could happen, can happen now. Like the whole Earth will be able to witness these things within that same hour. Also the ID chip has been developed so that we can become a cashless society. We are witnessing more natural disasters and earthquakes with more frequency and severity.

To be living during these end times makes me more excited and looking more forward to the return of my Lord. It will be interesting watching all this unfold before our eyes. We are the last generation.

At the very least, we're in one of the church ages described in Christ's letters to the seven churches in the opening chapters, as every church since the time John penned the Revelation has been.

If we are in the middle of the end-times prophecy, I am not excited about the judgment to come. The end is glorious, and yes, I believe God is just, but it is not His desire that any should be lost, and so many will be.

I believe that perhaps as important as reading the book of Revelation is learning the signs Christ gave in Matthew 24, especially about recognizing His return, not being deceived by false prophets. That's my 'word' for the day.

I hope you are reading Revelation with a good concordance or bible cross-reference. Revelation constantly alludes to earlier prophecies. In fact the entire book is simply a re-casting of earlier end-time prophecies. The author's purpose is to remind his Jewish Christian audience of prophecies already familiar to them, from Ezekiel and Daniel especially, but also Isaiah, Zechariah, Joel, etc; to point to Jesus as the fulfiller of those prophecies; and to warn everyone who might be wavering in faith that they are about to be fulfilled. That is why he re-casts them in contemporary terms, but still leaves them recognizable as new versions of the older prophecies. Jewish Christians of his day would have caught this at once: they'd recognize his opening vision as another version of Ezekiel's vision; they'd interpret the Woman as the people of Israel, also from Ezekiel; they'd see the Beasts as versions of Daniel's beasts, and so on. The author clearly thought that these prophecies were coming true very, very soon, if not immediately. And the author was clearly wrong about that. Somewhere in one of Peter's letters, THAT author admits frankly that the promised end times haven't come ... and offers the explanation that God is holding back with patience, hoping for more people to be saved. (An explanation that doesn't make sense without either Reincarnation or the Catholic concept of Purgatory. But since we can't admit the idea that a biblical witness was wrong about something, apologists have been trying ever since to demonstrate that Revelation is a) already fulfilled; b) partly fulfilled; c) not yet begun to be fulfilled. You'll find interpreters diligently defending all three choices.

Yes! especially the signs of weather

    it's getting really creepy

I live in Brazil (and have lived here 80% of my life)

and we are starting to have earthquakes!

YES, earthquakes in brazil! we NEVER had them till about four or five years ago. Weather is changing in the whole world, and that huge tsunami on christmas day. And the weather is just going crazy. August and September (especially September) were always the HOT months here, and now its always raining and december is way hotter? And all this terrorism and wars. The world is just changing sooo much! Jesus is coming back!! all I can do is pray a lot.. especially for everyone that doesn't know Him..

Oh, and how does it make it me feel? SCARED!

its happening.. and it's happening NOW!

In my opinino, it wont take more than 50 years (max!).

Well, have a nice week and God bless! =)

Here's a question for you: if the book of Revelation was written only for the last generation of human beings, why was this letter addressed and delivered specifically to the seven churches of asia-minor?

Imagine someone handing you a letter and saying, the contents of this letter aren't relevant to you. In fact, this letter won't be relevant for another 2,000 years. But have it anyways because I decided to address it to you. That's non-sense!

No, for Revelation to be of any importance to the Churches it was written FOR and TO, it would have to concern matters directly applicable to the congregations at that time. Otherwise what's the point of giving them the letter in the first place?

The only thing that HASN'T happened yet is the second coming, and no one knows when exactly Christ will return. And the moral to the story of Revelation is as true today as it was back in the first century: good will always triumph over evil in the end!

A lot of what has been foretold in the book of Revelation has already been fulfilled. The thing about it is that most people do not understand it.

I can answer any questions about the Book of Revelation if you like.

The book of Revelation...no s, has had clues to be happening since just after the resurrection. Revelation is only a list of what has to happen before the return of Jesus, there is no specified point to where it begins and ends.

Yes, there are many who believe this. Read the book of Daniel as well. Pray for the Holy Spirit before you read the bible. Ask that you read with His eyes and get the message God is trying to tell you. Ask for this with full faith that He will give that to you. You may find your eyes are opened. Email me if you do and tell me what the Holy Spirit lead you to see. It may take weeks but you will have an altered view as He leads you to see all He wants you to see. You will be amazed at the things that will stick out or jump out that never were apparent to you before.

Actually, when the Bible as we know it was assembled, the Book of Revelation, not REVELATIONS, was argued whether it should be in the Bible. But, the topics of this book, happened already. They happened between the years approximately of 60 and 130 AD. They refer to Antiochus Epiphanes of the Grecian Empire. Just read your history and don't listen to the propaganda.
