Why does republican Senator Boehner whine that nothing is getting done in congres when he urges his republican

He is hoping that Americans are partisan enough and read the news shallowly enough to buy the line that Democrats aren't accomplishing anything, so Republicans need to get the majority back.

After the repudiation they got from the electorate in 2006, the only avenue left to the Republicans seems to be to paint themselves as "less-ineffective than the Democrats".

Because like most politicians, Republican and Democrat alike, he is a hypocrite!
