cockroach found in school food?
so... today i was eating at a dining hall at my university ( which i pay 2,500 a semester for) and i took a bite of a piece of pie anda cockroach crawled out... i was so disgusted i put my tray away ran out and complained .. they just offered me a free meal but i don't ever want to eat there again as i threw up everything i ate that day. ... I told some of my friends and they are concerned about the dining here. since it is an extremely well known university should i make a big deal about this and complain further? i can't eat at that place anymore. i feel sick.. any advice would be great thanks

You could give them a break. Bugs are everywhere and especially where there is food and this kind of thing does happen.
I would talk to the dean of students or a V.P. of student affairs or something like that. Ask them to investigate the cleanliness of the food service. You might even demand an investigation by an outside impartial party. If they find that the food service is clean, there is nothing you can do about it. If they find that it's nasty, then I demand a big effort to clean things up and if it doesn't happen, I'd make a big scene and start talking to the media or at least threaten to. You do pay a good amount of money and deserve to eat from a clean kitchen.
There is no such thing as a kitchen that's never had a bug in it.

Absolutely, you should complain and talk to the dining hall manager, Student development office, and I would probably demand the money I paid for the meal plan. Can you imagine how dirty the kitchen must be?
PS. You can tell the school newspaper anonymously and maybe they'll write a story about it.

A fellow teacher I used to work with had bought the school lunch that day. I believe it was chili --or was supposed to be anyway. She was eating and she had a spoonful ready to put in her mouth and suddenly she yelled-- OH YUK !! She picked something out of the spoon that looked like a tube shaped thing we assumed it was some animal body part not usually included in a chili recipe. A piece of intenstines maybe? Yum , yum. Well, that's school food for ya. Needless to say, after that , I always brought my lunch.

WOW! that is disgusting.
You should report it to
The Department of Health Services
and they will inspect the chow hall
inside and out. And make sure
you have your story printed out
in school newspaper.

that's so ******* sick. You can get the health department to come in and inspect it. you can right a complaint. after the kitchen gets anazlyzed and approved you should build up some motivation to eat there. or starve yourself to the point where you have to eat something
