math help PLEASE!?

I need help! How do I do this?! It says Use properties of logarithms to expand the logarithmic expression as much as possible. Where possible, evaluate logarithmic expressions without using a calculator

You will need a to use a few log properties:

    Property 1: ln(x^y) = yln(x)

    *exponents "pull" forward

    Property 2: ln(x/y) = ln(x) - ln(y)

    *quotients to differences

    Now for your problem:

    ln√x/y

    = ln(x/y)^(½)

    = ½ ln(x/y) (by property 1)

    =½[ln(x) - ln(y)] (by property 2)

    = ½ln(x) - ½ln(y)

    Hope this helps!
